Raheem was born Raheem Shaquille Sterling on December 8, 1994, in Jamaica. He and his mother moved to London when he was five years old. , but Raheem's father chose to stay in Jamaica. Tragically, when Raheem was eight years old, his father was murdered in Jamaica.

Raheem had a difficult childhood and his family had to struggle with poverty. Probably because he lost his father at a very young age, he himself became a father when he was 18. His daughter Melody Rose was born in 2012.

The Story of Raheem Sterling

Following the tragic death of his father, Raheem has managed to turn his anger and frustration into motivation and to improve his football skills. His election to the "Queens Park Rangers Football Club" became a turning point in his life, and Raheem officially began his football career.From 2003 to 2010, Raheem played for Queens Park Rangers Football Club. Those seven years have greatly helped him shape his career. By the end of his tenure at the club, Raheem was already a star player - and he had managed to attract the attention of many, including veteran players and coaches. Raheem is known for his speed and low center of gravity.

In February 2010, Raheem signed with "Liverpool". Rafael Benítez, the "Liverpool" coach at the time, was very optimistic about him. Raheem made his team debut in a friendly against "Hibernian F.C", which ended in a draw.

Raheem made his first win over Notts County Football Club in the FA Youth Cup. After several remarkable victories, Raheem was promoted to Liverpool's senior side. On September 15, 2011, he received his first best player award.  During the 2013-14 season, Raheem was exceptional. Not only did he register his name on the list of contenders for the 'PFA Young Player of the Year award he eventually won, but he was also named Liverpool Chartered Player of the Month for April.

He went on to help Manchester City win back-to-back Premier League titles in the 2017–18 and 2018–19 seasons. In the 2018–19 season, he was named to the PFA Premier League Team of the Year and won the PFA Young Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year. He won two further Premier League titles with Manchester City in 2020–21 and 2021–22 before signing for Chelsea in July 2022. 

Born in Jamaica, Sterling made his senior debut for England in November 2012 after previously being capped by England youth teams at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21 levels. He was chosen in England's squads for the FIFA World Cup in 2014, 2018 and 2022, and the UEFA European Championship in 2016 and 2020.
